soshaSosha Mitsunaga: Having gained experience in the language education industry, Sosha co-founds a language consulting firm (headquartered in Cambodia) to offer global translations services. He graduated Waseda Business School (MBA) in Tokyo, and became president of an agricultural trading company. Continuing his volunteer work in Tohoku after the North East Japan Earthquake in 2011 has led to founding Common Earth Co. as a sustainable channel of support.

 

tomoTomonori Honda: Tomo discovers the endless beauty of Tohoku when he was located in Iwate during his former career, and is determined to create a channel for people overseas to discover its wonders. After going back to Tokyo where he graduated Waseda Business School (MBA), he is now in Sendai, multi-tasking between being being a member of Common Earth and operating a co-working space (cocolin) for social entrepreneurs who are creating businesses to support Tohoku.
 
 
shinobuShinobu Mitsunaga: Shinobu graduated Waseda University, School of International Liberal Arts. During her last years of school, she spent much time outside of the classroom, working at a university research center of “social innovation”, while doing an internship at an American advertisement agency in Tokyo. After graduating, she pursues the service industry and spends two years at an airline where she learns the frontline of Japanese service, whilst also spending time in and out of Tohoku.
 
joel bwJoel Pons Schmidt: Raised in New York and Florida, USA, Joel graduated University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts / Graphic Design. With experience both domestic and abroad, Joel is a creative professional with extensive experience in print and digital media – including web, UX design, and motion graphics.
 
 
 
 
daveDavid Baldridge: Raised in California, USA, David’s first visit to Japan was during his undergraduate years via his exchange program at Waseda University, School of International Liberal Arts in Tokyo. Fluent in Japanese. Professional designer.
